Robin Kould, a thirteen-year-old boy from the ghettos who discovers he can talk to dogs, and Mary Yen, a twelve-year-old girl who is studying to be a lawyer, team up to become champions of the underdog—literally. These two become  unlikely comrades as they navigate the turbulent waters of their middle school years. Sometimes insightful, sometimes humorous, but always earnest, they stumble their way through to accomplish their good deeds and rescue dogs. It is their hope that their series will inspire others to help rescue dogs in need.

LOKI

Robin and Mary call on their eighth-grade classmates for help in finding homes for more than a hundred dogs rescued from a puppy mill. Just as their mission is gaining momentum, the school principal confiscates the money they’ve collected for dog food, and all the dogs are going to be put down the next day. With Loki and the other dogs facing death, Robin questions his usefulness in canine rescue work. But then who will be the voice for those who cannot speak?

The themes of compassion, determination and cooperation are interwoven in another humorous Robin Kould and Mary Yen Rescue.
